This is a banana bread that we've been baking as along as I can remember. Shhh it is a family secret. haha No secrets here. Our family loves to share food and recipes. Enjoy!
Anna Banana Bread
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter (no salt butter)
1 tsp vanilla
4 tsp milk
1 cup ripen and smashed bananas
MIX all together and then add
2 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp b. soda
1 pinch salt
Blend until moist
This is when you can fold in extras. Try cranberry, chocolate chips, nuts, etc.
Bake 350 for 45min - 1hr. Check at 45 min and if toothpick is almost clean when sticking in center then it is done.
Toppings- You can also add brown sugar, nuts and or chocolate chips on the top. They bake down into the bread. The sugar gives a yummy crust. Add this before baking!
Look at my new Kitchen Aid! I had the white 300 when we lived in New Orleans! Thanks to Dad and Bea they replaced what Katrina took away with this Professional HD 475 RED Kitchen Aid! I got it over Thanksgiving! It is suppose to be my "birthday" present! I get to use it now since Christmas is my HUGE baking season!

Thanks for your post Katherine! They bread is yummy. My loaves sold for $6 each at the bake sale! They all sold! We raised over $1,700 just in the bake sale for our friend!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love banana bread. I will be baking some this weekend, and I am going to use this recipe!
ReplyDeleteI love that it is called Anna Banana bread. My daughter's name is Alanna, but my son has a speech delay and calls her Anna, as he is not able to say Alanna yet!
