Gooseberry Patch Recipes for Monkey Taters

Monkey Taters pg. 118

32-oz pkg. frozen potato puffs, partially thawed
Optional: 2-3 onions, chopped
10- 3/4 can cream of celery soup
16-oz container sour cream
1/2 c. butter, melted
8-oz pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Garnish: dried parsley

Mix all ingredients except parsley in a large bowl.  Spoon into a greased 13 X 9 baking pan.  Sprinkle with parsley.  Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.  Makes 8-10 servings.

What I did-
1) I did use the onions, two medium onions chopped coarsely

2) I didn't use parsley

3) I cooked it at 400 degrees for 30-35 min.

4) I've made recipes similar to this one. We choose it because for the name, Monkey Taters.  Thanks to this recipe, I'm now convinced that the tater tots/puffs are the best potato choice for us. It was perfect! My kiddos were so happy to have it for leftovers and were disappointed that we didn't have more leftovers the day after that!
