Do people still buy these types of music boxes for children? I have three girls and I've never purchased one for them. Sure they have had little boxes to store necklaces and earrings but never one that played a special song. This is something that I'm going to keep in mind when I have to purchase something special for them or for another child.

I had a music box similar to the one that you described that played The Nutcracker Suite! I don't have it anymore. I haven't thought about it in a long time....thanks for the memories.

ReplyDeleteI did! I used to collect music boxes! Not all of them were actual jewelry boxes - some were just fun figurine types. One of my favorite stores is the San Francisco Music Box Co. - they've got everything!
