Sometimes just the name of a recipe is enough to make your mouth water! Do you agree? Just hearing "coconut dream cake" always did that for me. I wanted to make it but never planned ahead. This cake taste best if made 3 days before serving.
Coconut Dream Cake
1 pkg butter flavored cake mix
2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz) sour cream
1 (12 oz) pkg. frozen coconut (Tropical Traditions Coconut-click to go to giveaway)
1 1/2 c. whipped topping
Must make ahead! Prepare the cake mix according to box directions making two 8-inch layers. Split both layers horizontally after they have cooled to form four layers. Blend together the sugar, sour cream and coconut and chill for 30 min. Spread all but one cup of the sour cream mixture between the layers. Blend the remaining sour cream mixture with the whipped topping and spread on the top and sides of the cake. Seal in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3 days before serving.
My guest chef doesn't have a blog or ETSY store but she should! She has the most beautiful primitive stitchery. Click the below photo to go to her Facebook Photo Album to see her creations! Anything listed can be sold. She custom makes items, too! This photo is of a tracing of her grandbabies. I think it is the most precious stitchery she has ever made! Wouldn't that be great to get one done? Just ask she can do one for you! I have some of her work! I love each piece!
Looks "dreamy!"
