TeaGschwendner opens in Rockefeller Center NYC

From European Boulevards to the Big Apple:
Germany’s Hottest Tea Retail Shop Debuts at Rockefeller Center July 16th!

TeaGschwendner Set to Open First N.Y. Location in Historic U.S. Landmark

Buffalo Grove, Ill. – Germany’s largest and most popular tea retailer, TeaGschwendner, has chosen New York City’s Rockefeller Center as the site to unveil its U.S. flagship corporate store and continue to heat up the tea craze that’s sweeping America.

Boasting 140-plus overseas tea retail shops and three decades of success, TeaGschwendner is cornering the billion dollar U.S. tea market with its warm, European allure and sophisticated franchise design. The 367 square-foot location will be outfitted with an iridescent black and gold color scheme, housing more than 300 varieties of ordinary and exotic loose leaf teas that will line the shop’s walls in decorative tins designed to maintain the tea’s freshness.

“TeaGschwendner has a location in every major city in Germany and we are focused on building the brand’s presence to similar popularity levels in the United States,” said Joe Capp, Vice President of U.S. Operations. “With more than 3 billion cups of tea consumed daily around the world, TeaGschwendner is finally giving U.S. tea drinkers a place to go to indulge their senses and purchase high quality, loose leaf teas in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.”

The New York location is situated at 620 Fifth Avenue in Rockefeller Center’s Channel Gardens, adjacent to the world-famous ice skating rink.

“Opening a TeaGschwendner location at one of America’s most historic landmarks is a strong testament to the brand,” added Capp. “We look forward to introducing millions who visit there each year to the benefits of tea and its ability to induce a steady state of mind and overall great sense of well-being.”

Tea contains two compounds which are known to have positive affects on health: L-Theanine and antioxidants. L-Theanine, an amino acid, has shown to induce a relaxed state of concentration and reduce stress. The antioxidants found in tea have been tested extensively and are known to improve overall health.

As part of the TeaGschwendner franchise model, franchisees receive comprehensive support that includes specially designed training courses in franchise business and operations, real estate site selection assistance, construction, marketing and PR support, in addition to other proprietary tools. Potential investors need $75,000 in liquid assets with a net worth total of $250,000.
