Coffee Month- Giveaway 101 Recipes for Microwave Mug Cakes

Here is a cookbook loaded with 101 recipes!  These aren't just any recipes! These are all tried, true and tested recipes using your microwave, coffee mug and a few carefully measured gluten-free ingredients.  What do  you make? You make the most DELICIOUS cakes! I"m thinking the best way to describe these cakes are to call them, the true and original, CUP-Cake.  They bake for a few minutes in your coffee cup.

Is this to good to be true? No way!  I made the Mocha Microwave Mug Cake and it was to die for! IT was super tasty and it was all mine! One little cake for one person! Now that I've tried this and it works my daughter will do this at her next sleepover!  Won't those girls be surprised when we show them how to make their own cake at home!  This is a perfect idea for younger girls who can't quiet bake a real cake by themselves. Now they can make a microwave mug cake for their mom or dad!

Stacey Miller, creator of this clever book, has been on the Rachel Ray show, twice! What a fun treat! This is one of  those recipe books you really want to have on hand.  It is a quick and easy way to make a little treat. Most of the ingredients are things you have in your pantry.  You only need a few ingredients, too! When I'm making these, I regress back to the EASY BAKE OVEN memories!  I loved mixing the powder with water and making mini treats.  These are a million times tastier!

I do have to admit that I'm not someone who likes to "cook" using the microwave.  I love using my oven and stove top to bake and cook up yummy treats for my family.  I was very skeptical that this cookbook was worth trying.  I'd heard good things about it but I'm one of those hands on learners. I love to experiment and try new things.  SOOOO I did it.

 When no one was around, I got out my ingredients and made a mug cake! It took me about 3 minutes to pull the ingredients, mix in bowl and pour in a mug.  Then I cooked it for 3 1/2 minutes in the mug.  I didn't have any frosting nor did I want to make any so while my cake was very hot I pour on a few chocolate chips, and they melted nicely on top of my cake.  I added a little chocolate pudding on top, too, and sprinkles! Verdict? Pure Awesomeness!  I'm glad I tried something new! I'm hooked on this cookbook!
