Full disclosure here and now! I can not tell a lie! I am a coffee fan and I usually do coffee reviews on my blog. I mean, really, I have a problem with coffee! I have to drink it every day. So why am I doing a tea review? Well I'm not a 100% coffee snob! I personally enjoy other drinks like, tea, water, juice, fun drinks with cute umbrellas and the like! Everyone else in my home are tea drinkers with the occasional coffee.
I was thrilled to get a chance, as a family, to review tea from two leaves and a bud. You must go and check out their website! It is awesome! It is very easy to manage and everything is clean, sharp and well designed.
Here are some of our favorites teas. I love the smell of each and every tea I opened.
*Organic Mountain High Chai- spiced black tea
*Organic Earl Grey
*Alpine Berry- Herbal tea with no caffeine
*Organic White Peony- white tea with light caffeine
*Jasmine Tea- Green tea scented with jasmine
*Organic Better Rest Blend-Herbal tea with no caffeine
*Organic Better Belly Blend-Herbal tea with no caffeine
*Tropical Goji Green- Green tea, light caffeine, goji berries and tropical flavors
*Organic Gen Mai Cha- Green tea, light caffeine with roasted rice
Each tea packet has the recommended tea steep time and caffeine level. The website also has a tea by caffeine tab which I absolutely love! The tea sachet and sleeve is biodegradable.
I love all the teaware, gifts and goodies, too! This site is perfect for tea drinkers and for those needing to purchase gifts for tea drinkers! Here is something I found and it is now is on my wish list to buy! Click to see more about it:

I found it very interesting that the founder of the company personally went to the gardens to establish relationships with the growers themselves. Usually, even in many small businesses, owners just pick out items from a sales list or make a phone call.
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
Since the "Who we are" entry is worth TEN entries, I'll just add a few more little tidbits:
ReplyDelete#2 - They won the "Best New Tea Award for 2005-2006 in the US.
ohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#3 - They won the People's Choice Award at the Great Canadian Tea Steep Off in 2006.
ReplyDelete(I put much more into "people's choice" awards over industry awards. The opinions of those actually drinking the tea are much more important!)
ohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#4 - Two Leaves and a Bud was the pioneering company of that pyramid tea bag that I've only seen in Lipton teas. (Hope they patented the idea and got some kind of compensation!)
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#5 - **VERY IMPORTANT TO ME** This company works hard to ensure that the tea leaves and buds they use come from NEW organic bushes. Meaning that the bushes have never had chemical treatments (i.e. no chemical residue in the root system.)
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#6 - They pay more for their teas, ensuring that the small farmers who actually grow it will get their money's worth. (This helps to ensure that the farmers will continue growing the teras rather than giving up and looki into more lucrative crops!)
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#7 - They are a certified Fair Trade company
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#8 - They don't just run a company, they educate their employees and customer about teas. (I love this because I love learning. I don't know much about tea, so I am looking forward to reading more about each type of tea!)
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#9 - This company is one of the founding companies of the TRUST Organic Small Farmers Initiative. (See # 6 to find out why this is important.)
ReplyDeleteohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
#10 (whew!) - I'm expecting their teas to have incredible flavor. Throughout the "About Us" section, there is reference to the difference between the tea I drink now and whole-leaf, fresh, organic tea.
