Crab Rangoons
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 bunch scallions, chopped (optional)
1 pkg. crab pieces (I use white crab in the can but imitation crab chopped up is good, too)
1-3 tsp sugar (to taste)
wonton wrappers
Directions
Mix cheese, scallions, crab and sugar together. Place 1 tsp of filling into the middle of a square wonton wrapper. Wet 2 adjoining sides of the wrapper, fold and seal into a triangle. Brown in hot oil, turning once. Drain on a paper towel, cool slightly and serve plain or with sweet & sour sauce.

These do look good. I gave my deep fryer to my son, can these be made in a pan with an inch of oil, do you think?
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to find a recipe for these that didn't have a multitude of ingredients and take forever to make. Thank you for this. I will be making them this week for sure.

My kids love Chinese food, and crab rangoon is their absolute favorite! Thanks for this great recipe!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Crab Rangoon. We get them as a side when ever we order Chinese food. I didn't know they were this ease to make! I may give this a try next time we make an Asian Stir-Fry!
ReplyDeleteI have a question: Why add sugar? Isn't the crab meat sweet enough on its own?
ReplyDeleteI've been paying good money for these. Now I can make them myself. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love these at the Chinese resteraunt and since they look easy to make, I'll have to try making them. Thanks for the recipe.
