This is a really fun & entertaining drink for adults! You can leave out the alcohol and make it a virgin drink! I learned how to make this tasty frozen drink recipes while living in New Orleans. The Monday Ladies - ladies church group over women over the age of 70 would make this and share with me!
Ingredients
1 fifth bourbon or whiskey (optional)
1 large can pineapple juice
1 2-liter 7-UP
1 10 oz can frozen orange juice
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 16 oz jar cherries with juice
Directions
Melt the sugar with the water. Add sugar & rest of the ingredients into a large plastic container that has a lid. Put in the freezer and let freeze for 4 hours and then give it a stir, breaking up any chunks. Let freeze until it is as frozen & slushy as you want it. Makes 2 gallons.
Kitchen Notes
IF you are not adding alcohol, don't let it freeze as long.
