Chicken Sliders aka Chick-fil-A knock offs

My daughters LOVE Chick-fil-A. We do not have one near us so they look for them when we are traveling. I've only eaten the chicken once or twice so I really wasn't sure what they were supposed to taste like. Overall, 2 out of 3 said that these tasted like Chick-fil-A. I thought they tasted great! I created this recipe from various other recipes. Enjoy.

Chicken Sliders

Ingredients

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
2 cups of milk
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
3 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
peanut oil
mini rolls (Hawaiian Rolls)
Toppings-mayo, tomatoes, pickles, sauces, etc.

Directions

1-Depending on the size of the chicken breast, slice into 2-4 pieces. You want them the size to fit on small buns. If the chicken breast is 1 inch or more thick, cut that piece in half horizontally.
2-Add 2 eggs to 2 cups of milk and whisk together.
3-Add the chicken to the milk, cover and let sit in the fridge 4 hours.
4-In a large ziplock bag add in the flour, powdered sugar, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Give it a good shake.
5-Heat oil until it reaches 375°. Maintain that temp at a medium heat.
6-When oil is ready, add 1/4 of the chicken to the milk, then to the flour and shake.
7-Add the chicken to the oil. Cook until golden and flip. This process only took about 4-5 minutes. Check your chicken if you are unsure if it is done.
8-Place on paper towel and repeat until all is cooked.
9-Add to buns and add toppings.

Kitchen Notes
*The milk is to make the chicken tender. It must work because our chicken was extremely tender and I let it soak for 4 hours.
*Peanut oil is the key in making these. It is costly. I picked up a gallon at my local Walmart for $12.12. I almost didn't buy it but it really is necessary for the chick-fil-a taste. If you don't want to buy it, use canola.
*Peanut oil does get hot really quickly so maintain your temp.
*Apparently my girls love the sweet Polynesian sauce at Chick-fil-A. I've never had it so I didn't know how to recreate it. SINCE making these a few weeks back I found a recipe that I will try the next time for the sauce. I bought sweet n sour sauce, Hawaiian sauce, honey mustard and honey bbq which they used.
If you make these, let me know what you think!
