Honey Beer Bread

This is a super easy recipe. It is the only one that I have used to make beer bread so it is a keeper. I also pass it along to anyone who ask. The first 3 pictures were taken by my friend, Stan who just recently asked for the recipe. Love his pictures!
Honey Beer Bread

Ingredients
3 cups all purpose flour
1- 12 oz bottle of beer (Your choice. I've used so any different ones. Stan used Yuengling Light)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salk
2 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons butter, melted
8 oz cheese, optional

Directions
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Grease a loaf pan.
3) In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
4) Gently stir in beer and honey into the dry ingredients until just combined.
5) Pour  half the melted butter into the loaf pan. Add in batter.
6) Use a pastry brush or lightly drizzle on the rest of the butter.
7) Bake 50-60 minutes until top is golden brown. Insert a toothpick and if it is clean, it is done.

Kitchen Notes
Cheese is optional. You can use cheddar, sharp cheddar, colby, jalapeƱo, etc. Sometimes I leave out the honey. Still taste great. JalapeƱos make a great addition to this bread. Add in 1-2 fresh chopped or 1/4-1/2 cup of jar peppers. Sometimes I"ll add another 2 tablespoons of melted butter once it comes out of the oven. This bread is wonderful toasted in the morning!
