Did you know that May is National Physical Fitness Month? It was named that back in 1983. It is a time to encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits.
Are you and your family physically active? It can involved family sports, individual sports, walking or hiking, riding bikes, etc. In April I started walking 5 times a week and boy does it feel great.
Healthy eating habits is something that we can all do. First is to make sure you keep fruit and vegetables in your home instead of processes boxed foods and snacks. There are a few super fruits that you can concentrate on, too. These fruits contain high concentrations of phytonutrients and particularly in antioxidants. Three examples include:
Very Berry Blast
*Bonus- This sweet berry juice is super kid friendly and super healthy too (but Shhhhhh! That’s our little secret!)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 green apple
- 1 orange (peeled with most of the white rind still on)
Press through a juicer, stir to mix the flavors, serve, and enjoy!
Carrot Strawberry Tomato Juice
Ingredients:
· 3-4 medium sized carrots
· 2 ripe tomatoes
· 1 cup of strawberries

Omega’s Green Mixer
Ingredients:
- ½ cup of broccoli
- 1 carrot
- 1 green apple
- ½ cup of spinach
- 1 kiwi
- ½ inch of fresh ginger
- ½ lemon (peeled with most of the white rind still on)
