National Waffle Iron Day Recipes

Yay! Today is National Waffle Iron Day. You know what that means, right? Time to dust it off and make some waffles. I use the Amish Friendship Bread Waffle Recipe recipe when I have starter available. Click the link to get the recipe and see more pictures & waffle ideas.

Here is the batter with mini Chocolate Chips added
If you want a cool treat, use the waffles to make an ice cream sandwich. Use any flavor of ice cream. We like to spread on margarita strawberry jam on the waffle and then add the ice cream. It is extremely good!
