Boys & Girls Clubs have teamed up with Amway to help education club members about the importance of healthy diets and healthy lifestyles in kids. Positive Sprouts is the program and they want you to get involved!
When I was in college a few years back I participated in the Boys and Girls Clubs (BGCA) where I was a big sister to a special needs girl. I felt honored to be a mentor to someone who needed a positive female role model. It was quiet an undertaking for a college student but one worth the challenge. Have you ever participated in this organization? I'd love to hear your experience.
I'm so excited to bring to you some new information that I recently learned about BGCA. They have teamed up with Amway to help educate Club members about the importance of healthy diets and lifestyles. Not only are they wanting kids to eat more fruits and vegetables but they are proving the actual seeds and information to teach them how and why it is important to get a healthy diet.
- POSITIVE SPROUTS®Sustainability Grants-Amway will provide $30,000 in Sustainability Grants to 10 deserving Boys & Girls Clubs who previously received community gardens from Amway. The funds are designed to assist the Clubs to maintain their current garden as well as improving nutrition for Club members. What a great way to reward those who have a garden going by giving them resources to keep it going! If you want more information on the Positive Sprouts program click over to see what you can do or how to apply for this grant.
- Garden In A Box Kits- Amway is donating 150 Garden In A Box kits to Boys & Girls Clubs who demonstrated an interest and need for establishing a community gardening program at their Club. The kit will include a variety of fuit and vegetable seeds and supplies to get the Club started on their own garden! This would activity would help bring a club together!
- POSITIVE SPROUTS® Curriculum-Amway is enabling the delivery of a healthy food curriculum to 4,000 Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide ensuring that all Clubs have access to educational materials promoting healthy eating habits. This curriculum will help give information to the adults and make it easier for them to teach the kids in their Club!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Amway. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
