Kick-off Brunches: Peanut Butter Pancake Syrup, No-Bake Fruit & Nut Cereal Bars, Pumpkin-Caramel Doughnut Holes
Major League Munchies: Touchdown Toss, Sweet Chipotle Pretzels, Crab & Shrimp Poppers, Healthy JalapeƱo Poppers and Stuffed Pepperoncini.
Souper-Bowl Soups, Salads & Sandwiches: Pulled Pork Sammies (recipe coming soon), Crunchy Oriental Coleslaw (recipe soon), Red Devil Franks, Cakewich, Caprese Pasta Salad, Spicy Cajun Potato Salad.
Slam-Dunk Mains & Sides: Bacon-Wrapped Corn on the Cob, Creamy Bacon Corn-Fetti, Marvelous Meatball Subs, Prosciutto Burgers, Onside Kickin' Chicken Kabobs, Kim's Crustless Pizza (recipe soon), Hot Dog Boats.
Touchdown Treats: Spicy-Hot Brownies, Goofer Balls, 77 Carrot Cake (cute story behind this recipe), Peanutty Ice Cream Roll, No Bake Butterscotch Bars.
Stadium-Sized Recipes for a Crowd: Buetow's Mini Cheese Balls (mine!), Mini Pie Bites, Game Time TV Mix, Iced Coffee Punch (yum), Vegetable Beef Soup for 50, Game Day Dim Sum, Mom's Wacky Cake, Margarita Punch.
Mini Cheese Balls (my recipe in the cookbook)
Ingredients
8 oz pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 green onion chopped
1/2 t. seasoned salt
1/4 t. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 t. dry mustard, optional
1/4 c. chopped pecans
2 1/4 oz jar dried, chipped beef
Directions
Mix together all the ingredients except beef. Roll cream cheese mixture into nickel size balls. Finely chop beef. Roll balls in beef to coat. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes 20 balls. Eat as is or serve with crackers.
Game Day Meatballs
Ingredients
3 lbs frozen meatballs (we used turkey)
16 oz jar chili sauce
16 oz can jellied cranberry sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. white vinegar
Directions
Arrange meatballs on lightly greased rimmed baking sheets; bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, until browned. Transfer meatballs to a slow cooker; stir in remaining ingredients; Cover and cook on high setting, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 hours. Makes 15-20 servings.
Kitchen Note- We used buns with ours and made sandwiches.

ReplyDeleteFor get togethers I like making my Mom's cheese all but also a copycat hash brown casserole. Tastes very much like Cracker Barrell and an empty dish coming home is always a good sign. :-)
