Today is Day 12 and I know that some of you have been here the entire 12 days while some pop in and out every few days. I have also had new and old friends talk to me more about what I'm doing and what tips I can give on Facebook, Twitter and even the wonderful app over at LifeKraze. I started the MakeTime Team and it is the go to spot to give and get encouragement. Either way if you have been following along, pop in here and there or just saw this today I'm glad that you are here.
This post was inspired by many things I have done over the past year and a half as well as what I have read from other websites, blogs, etc. I did read The Secret of Success by Taylor over at Pink Heels Pink Truck today and she shares wonderful tips on what you should eat and how much you should exercise to lose the weight. I would love for you to pop over there and read her information. The one thing that stuck out the most was how much you should eat. The formula that she gives is 45-65% Carbohydrates, 10-35% Protein and 20-35% Fat for weight loss. She also stated that if you need to lose weight that 60-70% is based on your Nutrition stated above and 30-40% is Fitness to get to your goal.
She does a great job at explaining that and I'm trying to figure it all out. I have the Fitness part down it is the Nutrition part that I need to keep working on. I found several times when I actually kept track of my exercise and eating that I wasn't eating enough food for how much I was exercising. Crazy I know. How about you? How are you doing? What help do you need to get in the right amount of nutrients?
I really do believe that this is a long term journey. I am thrilled when others join in. Take it day by day and be proud of every little new thing you do and try.
