How to Prepare Your Home for the Holidays #HolidayFresh #MC #spon

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Arm & Hammer. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Tis the season to get the house fresh. That isn't always so easy when everything is closed up for the winter. The holidays always brings family and friends to our home to stay or to attend our Christmas Open House. Do you have extra guest aka family and friends coming to your home over the next few weeks? What do you do to prepare your home?

I pulled out our Christmas decoration and went from room to room to get it ready. Here are some of the things that I did with the help of the Arm & Hammer product page.

  • Declutter- I carry around a trash bag, basket to place items to giveaway and another basket to put things that go in other rooms. As I go from room to room I return items to each room. We always find things in the oddest places.....like the stapler in the bathroom or cat toys in the kitchen.
  • Switch bed linens to flannel for those who like flannel sheets. This year I freshened up all the bed linens and the extras for up and coming guest with Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X Laundry Detergent. Everything looks and smells really clean which is a relief, especially in the basement guest area. The concentrated detergent saved me money and time this year! Everything was so fresh and clean so I did not need to go out and buy fresh linens. It was great to use what I had on hand.
  • Dust, mop, remove dust from ceiling fans and vacuum each area.
  • Decorate each room for the holidays. While doing this I realized that I had several tree skirts that needed to be freshed up. I also washed all of the table cloths and placemats for the holiday open house and dinners with the Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X Laundry Detergent. I love the fresh wow factor with the extra added baking soda in the detergent.
  • Pulled out all holiday clothes and gave a wash and a dry as well.
  • Last but surely not least, I made everyone who lives in this house move out until the holidays are over! Joking, of course, but it would make it easier to keep my house fresh and clean for the next month.
What do you use to freshen up and clean your home to get it ready for the holiday season? I'd love to know. Share your ideas with us below.
