Along this journey I have found some really tasty products which I have added into our family's pantry. One of those products is Roman Meal Bread. Roman Meal is made from whole grain which two slices give 2/3 of the daily amount of whole grains recommended in the dietary guidelines. It is also a good source of calcium, vitamin D and fiber. Whole grains help with digestion and weight management and studies have shown that an intake of whole grain may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Aside from those benefits the bread taste great! The bread is baked fresh in regional bakeries across the United States to get the bread to you quicker. I love the fact that the company uses regional baking sites to get the freshest bread out to the stores.
No matter what we were eating, if bread was needed we used the Roman Meal Bread. A few of my favorite ways:
- Hard Boiled Eggs- Smashed up with a dab of butter. Toast Roman Meal and eat it with the eggs.
- Sandwich- Hard Salami, Swiss Cheese and 1 serving of Mayonnaise.
- Scrambled Eggs - Serve on top of the Roman Meal Bread.
- Tuna Fish Sandwich - Mix 1 can tuna fish in water, 3/4 cup pickle relish, 1/4 cup Mayonnaise, 1/4 cup diced onions. Add on top of the bread and top with Sriracha Sauce.
Their website is full of educational information about their products as well as tasty recipes. Here are a few I plan to make for my family.
